For over 20 years, I have enjoyed helping individuals grow, learn and experience life the way that they have hoped they would. To this process I offer genuine compassion, respect and sensitivity to individuals in need, strong interpersonal and communication skills, as well as the ability to form authentic, respectful, and supportive connections. I am a registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO member #002637) and a Canadian Certified Counsellor. with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA member #6624). I have an Undergraduate degree in Psychology (B.A.) with a focus on social and clinical psychology, as well as a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology (M.C.). I completed an 18 month post-graduate clinical internship program in family and couples systems and therapy as well as Level 1 Gottman Couple training and a "7 Principles for Making Marriage Work" Workshop Facilitator. I am highly skilled in CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), SFT (Solution Focused Therapy), Structural Therapy and EFT (Emotionally Focused Therapy).
As well as individual and couples work, I also work with companies, schools, and businesses as a Workplace Consultant to share psycho-educational resources through experiential seminars and informative workshops so that organizations can also function in a way that is more in line with their ideal work environment. In times of more immediate need, I have successfully completed the Critical Incident Responder Training with the Crisis Care Network (CCN) and assist organizations to respond to and cope with crises that occur. I have a wealth of experience helping individuals and teams through workplace traumatic events such as accidents, death, labour disputes, and layoffs.
I look forward to talking about the ways I can help you begin to make the changes that move you closer to the life you always envisioned for yourself.
With thanks,
Nick Clark RP, MC, CCC
